The Disappearing Coin

Put a coin in your hand as shown in Pig. 1. Close your fist as in Fig. 2; open it again (Fig. 3) - presto! The coin has vanished.

The sketch above shows how it is done. A bit of soft soap previously placed on the fingernail makes the coin stick to the finger when the hand is opened. Be careful to hold your hand so that it cannot be seen from the front.
