How to Draw Cartoons > Some cartoon heads are egg headsIf we were to ask a child to draw a head, chances are it would look like this: With the wonderful impressionism that children possess, we find in this sketch - which incidentally was done by my wife a few minutes ago-all the basic proportions to follow. To begin with, let's face it - underneath our hats we are a race of eggheads. You don't like it? All right - resign from the race.  
In this cartoon I capitalized on the unhappy fact that by a peculiar coincidence the human skull resembles the fruit of a hen. However, unless you're a hen, you don't have to confine yourself to producing perfect egg shapes. Cartoon faces can be fitted into any kind of shape.
